Local and global structure of a thick-domain-wall space-time.

چکیده
The local and global properties of the Goetz thick plane domain wall space-time are studied. It is found that when the surface energy of the wall is greater than a critical value σc, the space-time will be closed by intermediate singularities at a finite proper distance. A model is presented in which these singularities will give rise to scalar ones when interacting with null fluids. The maximum extension of the space-time of the wall whose surface energy is less than σc is presented. It is shown that for certain choice of the free parameter the space-time has a black hole structure but with plane symmetry.

Three dimensional static and dynamic analysis of thick plates by the meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method under different loading conditions
In this paper, three dimensional (3D) static and dynamic analysis of thick plates based on the Meshless Local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) is presented. Using the kinematics of a three-dimensional continuum, the local weak form of the equilibrium equations is derived. A weak formulation for the set of governing equations is transformed into local integral equations on local sub-domains by using a uni...
متن کاملVacuum Domain Walls in D-dimensions: Local and Global Space-Time Structure
We study local and global gravitational effects of (D-2)-brane configurations (domain walls) in the vacuum of D-dimensional space-time. We focus on infinitely thin vacuum domain walls with arbitrary cosmological constants on either side of the wall. In the comoving frame of the wall we derive a general metric Ansatz , consistent with the homogeneity and isotropy of the space-time intrinsic to t...
متن کاملAttenuation of spatial aliasing in CMP domain by non-linear interpolation of seismic data along local slopes
Spatial aliasing is an unwanted side effect that produces artifacts during seismic data processing, imaging and interpolation. It is often caused by insufficient spatial sampling of seismic data and often happens in CMP (Common Mid-Point) gather. To tackle this artifact, several techniques have been developed in time-space domain as well as frequency domain such as frequency-wavenumber, frequen...
متن کاملEffects of the asymmetric behavior of the shape memory alloy on nonlinear dynamic responses of thick sandwich plates with embedded SMA wires
In the present article, the dynamic behavior of sandwich plates with embedded shape memory alloy (SMA) wires is evaluated for two cases wherein (i) the stress-strain curve of the superelastic behavior of the SMA wires is symmetric and (ii) the mentioned curve is non-symmetric. A modified version of Brinson’s constitutive model is proposed and used. The high non-linearity in the behavior stems f...
متن کاملArchitecture in Transition Era toward Network Society
Technology affected human life in many ways in different eras of mankind history. Today, the information and telecommunication technology has revolutionized basic structures of human life. Changes are from the whole to the parts and vice versa, which include family and society too. Family lost its former structure in the information age and differentiated from patriarchy family. Societies have ...
